Spicy Thai Vinaigrette

Wonderful over crunchy lettuces.

  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon finely chopped fresh ginger
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes or hot chile oil
Optional:
  • chopped red onions or mandarin oranges; sliced jicama
  • Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour over mixed lettuces, toss and serve.

    Serves 4 to 6
