Purple Majesty has deep purple skin and intense purple flesh that retains its color in cooking, making it a showstopping dish at the table! Its vibrant deep color makes these beauties naturally high in the cancer-fighting antioxidant anthocyanin, so they are highly nutritious as well as scrumptious.  

Purple Majesty has dry sweet flesh and is great simply roasted or baked. It performs well in both hot and cooler season areas, producing good yields of colorful, tasty tubers that are also well adapted to sandy soils. This fine variety was bred at NCSU and is resistant to Fusarium wilt.

Our sweet potato “slips” will ship after being freshly lifted from the growing fields. Don’t worry if they seem pale or wilted on arrival – they will green right up and develop rapidly into dense, weed-suppressing vines.

Sweet potato plants ship separately from seed packet orders directly from our grower in late May-early June. Orders ship via USPS Priority Mail, please allow 3 to 5 days for delivery. Sorry we cannot ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Canada.

The plants have survived and are now spreading through the growing bed. Plantings doing very well. Growing time will be short here in N Idaho.

Haven't had a crop yet, so this is not a review of the potatoes. Some slips were sizeable with leaves or roots, but some were just twigs that didn't grow even in potting soil and fertilizer. So you don't actually receive the stated # of slips.
In my garden they seem to prosper, but I had to build a cage around them because something was eating the leaves faster than they can grow. Squirrels?

Well, you weren't kidding. When my slips arrived, they looked almost dead but I heed the warning and planted as recommended and they took off right away!! I can’t wait to my first harvest!!

Arrived in great condition. Rooting in potting soil medium indoors under lights until the end of next month. Then outside into grow bags.
