Sweet potatoes are easy to grow, carefree, and especially delicious when homegrown. A terrific source of vitamin A and C, beta-carotene, fiber and potassium, they perform well throughout the US if planted when both soil and air have warmed in spring. If kept comfortably moist during the growing season, they will flourish without pest or disease problems.
We’ve selected three specialty sweet potato varieties with different flavor profiles. Each one will produce an abundance of tubers to store and enjoy for months. Sold in sets of 12-plants, which will plant a 12’ x 12’ square.
A Note on Arrival Appearance: Don’t be alarmed if your sweet potato slips appear weathered upon delivery. Due to their delicate nature, they may arrive with yellow, spotted, or wilted foliage. This cosmetic stress is expected and does not impact long-term viability. The strength of the slip lies in its nodes, not its initial leaves. By following our growing guide and planting immediately, you will see fresh growth and robust root development within 14–21 days.
