GROWING INSTRUCTIONS

WHEN TO PLANT

In Mild-Winter Climates where ground does not freeze, sow in late fall to overwinter, or spring. In Cold-Winter Climates, where ground freezes hard, plant in spring as soon as soil can be worked.

HOW TO PLANT

Using a shovel or digging fork, turn soil to remove weeds, grass, and large stones and break up soil clumps, then rake the surface smooth. Shake can thoroughly to mix, then scatter seeds thinly about 1 to 2 inches apart. Cover seeds with fine soil 1/4 inch deep and lightly firm. Water thoroughly and evenly. Keep soil moist while germinating and when seedlings are small.

This was my first attempt in growing zucchini on a trellis and the Escalator Zucchini did not disappoint! Incredible growth (use a long, tall trellis), great yield and beautiful fruit! This is a definite repeat for 2026!!

I've grown these for 2 years now and they've earned a space in my 'forever garden' list because I just love eating them fresh! They are so good rolled up with a bit of meat and cheese, or just on their own with a hint of sweetness and tang.

Hands down, the most prolific package of seeds I've ever purchased. There were enough english cucumbers to feed my family, all my neighbors and all the delivery drivers all season. I planted them in my front year and I invited people to pick as many as they want. Everyone commented how delish they were and would eat them straight off the vine. I can't recommend this enough. I started some early inside and direct planted. Both ways worked perfectly. My recommendation is to plant them in cycles because you just can't keep up if you plant them all at once.

I’m not sure what I did wrong with this little guy. I planted from seed last year. It grew in a container all summer in my garden and didn’t start flowering until the fall. I decided to bring it inside under grow lights for the winter. It bloomed all winter! I started pollination myself and now I have 3 babies and lots more on the way..in February/march. I’m excited to taste them and to get this guy back outside once the weather warms! Adorable little plant!
