We garden in a very cold climate. In early September last year, I showed this spinach in 3" pots. In mid November I planted the spinach - by then quite large - in a raised bed full of compost in our small, unheated greenhouse, watering well. This was an experiment to see if it would overwinter - and it did. By mid March (still very much winter where we live, with several feet of snow on the ground outside), we were eating tender, delicious spinach. This was a great pleasure for us. We continued to enjoy this huge, delicious, tender spinach until it was warm enough to plant tomatoes in the greenhouse in early June, by which time it was beginning to bolt. We highly recommend this excellent variety.
