Sesame Spinach
|
Subtle oriental seasonings are perfect with fresh spinach and sesame finishes the dish.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons peanut oil
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
6 scallions, finely chopped
1 very large bunch fresh spinach, washed and drained
Garnish:
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Thoroughly mix soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar. Set aside. Heat peanut oil in a large skillet, and add garlic, ginger, and scallions. Sauté over medium heat until softened, 2 to 3 minutes. Add spinach and stir-fry until cooked through but still a bit crispy, about 2 to 3 minutes. Add reserved soy sauce mixture and heat through. Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve immediately. Serves 3 to 4.
