Every year, Renee's Garden donates seeds to a wide variety of organizations and
educational programs worldwide that strive to improve social, economic and health
conditions, and promote sustainable organic
gardening. We also encourage retailers to donate unsold Renee's Garden seeds to
local non-profit organizations at the end of the season. We are
pleased to share their successful outcomes.

Virunga Artisans
Uganda
"Thought you would enjoy
seeing some of the great
things being accomplished in
Uganda thanks to your
generous support. There are
now four schools in
full-production (two more
being terraced and prepared)
and a large commercial
garden started by the Batwa
(pygmy) Development Program
which is supplying all the
tourist lodges on the Buhoma
side of Bwindi Impenetrable
Forest NP. I can’t tell you
how impressed (& surprised)
the guests are when they get
a red and white radish &
multi-colored carrots in
their salad! Your
seeds have made a huge
difference."

Peace Corps
Garden Projects
Honduras and Navajo Nation
"Peace Corps Volunteers working in the
communities of El Aguacatal and
Guachipilin helped set up 25 family
gardens and a school garden. Another
garden project in the community of
Las Breas has helped single women.
The NGO Caritas also provided
technical assistance to some of the
women by helping set up irrigation
systems. One photo also shows
vegetables harvested from the
community garden project in Navajo
Nation. "

Ochoa Middle School Project E.A.T.
Hayward, CA
"Our program
encourages students to eat more
fruits and vegetables and also to
think about where their food comes
from, both currently and
historically.
We use many seeds to teach
US History concepts: Westward
Expansion, Native American
Displacement, and the Civil War.
This morning we were harvesting
native bean varieties for a lesson
called “Beans that Made America.”
I have been a big fan of your
company… just harvested some of your
beets and carrots yesterday with my
afterschool program and they were
delicious!! "

Veggielution Community Farm
San Jose, CA
"Veggielution
empowers youth and adults from
diverse backgrounds to create a
sustainable food system in San Jose.
Our urban farm engages the community
by providing access to healthy and
local food, creating youth
leadership opportunities, and
developing creative solutions to
social and environmental justice
issues.
Our volunteer workdays, youth
programs, sliding scale farmstand,
and community workshops give people
a chance to get their hands dirty
growing veggies, and learn the
importance of eating healthy food
and knowing where it came from.
On behalf of everyone at the farm,
thank you so much for the support of
our community!"

Food for All
Okanagan County, WA
"We received
the seeds that you sent and wanted
to thank you for your generosity. We
really appreciate receiving a
personalized pack with herb and
vegetables seeds that are specific
for our needs. We have already
planted some of these seeds in our
demonstration garden at the food
bank (we have 12 - 4x4’ apple bins).
The kids loved inter-planting those
radish seeds throughout our garden!
We are also currently working with 5
families at a subsidized apartment
building for whom we are building 5
raised beds at the end of this
month. They will be receiving some
of these seeds to plant immediately
and to keep for succession planting.
Donations like yours help to make
our program possible. Thank you so
much!"
