Planting in May: Main Season Vegetables

An easy to make version of this classic Italian delicacy.

When nighttime temperatures are consistently in the 50° F (10° C) range it's the perfect time for sowing main season vegetables. Good choices are summertime kitchen garden staples like squash, beans, cucumbers and melons. For tips on planting, harvesting and cooking, read Renee's article "Planting in May".
